Do you use the sheets as regular yardage for quilts or as backing? I have a beautiful 100% cotton cream coloured sheet and was contemplating using it as the light yardage in a HST scrappy, but was not sure if it would work.
It will work just fine! They make wonderful yardage.

This is a fantastic haul! Congratulations for great bargain hunting!

Am admittedly a little jealous. Yesterday I paid about $7 for a 100% cotton tannish sheet (second-hand). But I got it. Fabric is hard to come by here and I get it where I can! But I will look forward to the thrift store shopping in the states. --Have two weddings this year!

It is nice that you found a place that obviously other quilter-bargain hunters don't go.

Well stocked with my envelope full of coupons for National Craft Month ! Not only did I enjoy my visit with Aunt Jo-Ann, but she is conveniently located directly in between my two favorite thrift stores, Savers and Goodwill , and not far from BigLots who also happens to carry fabric pre-cuts that I know are of decent quilting quality ! So I did not want to make them feel as though they were being left out ! Behold the bounty !

    From Jo-Anns :
    3 packages of batting
    1 pillow form
    12 Fat Quarter Bundles ( totaling 60 FQ's )
1 EZ Quilting Circle Cut Ruler

    From Goodwill :
1 really amazing quilt shelf ! 48 inches long total, with a 46 inch long hanging area for $18 ? Yes please !

    From Savers :
18 - 100% Cotton Flat Sheets ranging from king to twin in size
Have I ever mentioned my obsession with flat sheets ? My son thinks I am a flat sheet hoarder, I think I am just being economical ! You know how much yardage there is on a flat sheet ? ALOT !

    From Big Lots :
    4 Jelly Rolls
    6 Charm Packs

Total spent for the entire day ( not counting Taco Bell for lunch )
    [h=2]$105.56[/h]I am good !
My kind of shopping good results with little money.Way to go

You got wonderful deals. Good for you, wouldn't find deals like that around here. Obviously we have lots of quilters in the St. Louis area. It is a large area with all the surrounding counties.
