Massdrop.com had a great buy on Aurifil a few weeks ago. I bought six spools for $45.99 with free shipping!

I must be the only one who doesn't care for aurifil thread. Did not like it at all

it definitely breaks easily. But the colors are beautiful. It's good for satin stitching. Looks silky.

It's one of the best cotton threads on the market.

Aurifil is the only thread that I use for piecing. Now that I think about it, it is what I use for quilting also. I love Aurifil thread!

I wasn't being very clear on that. It doesn't break in my Viking, either, but it does snap easily if you try, more so, IMO, than others. It's only 2 ply.

Just FYI, if your looking for aurifil thread on sale, I just bought some from Sue's sew Ez designs at 7.00 a spool - it was an awesome deal. She sent it out really fast too. --I'm not affiliated wth the site or anything- just wanted to pass along a good deal. http://www.sewezdesigns.com/Aurifil1.html

I get mine from Fabric.com. They seem to have a reasonable price and with a $35 order they have free shipping. Good service too. I love Aurifil thread.

I use empty Crystal Light type containers to store my spools of Aurifil in. Four spools fit perfectly into a container. It keeps them clean and organized and if you take the label off the container you can see through it to see what color is inside.
