That's a kind of sister called a blessing. I give some of my fabrics to guild, and in return ladies give some of their stash.. That's a happy day! Enjoy!

I not only wish I had a sister like that, I wish I had a sister! Neither of my three brothers quilt, they are more in to hunting and stuff. (Imagine that! LOL!)

This is so true. I am giving some of my fabrics away to my friends since I never had a sister. You are very lucky that you both enjoy quilting, No one in my family except for a distant Great aunt quilted.

My sister and I loved to share and quilt together. There is nothing like a sister at least that is how I always felt. I miss mine terribly.

My sister and her DGD sew. We get together when we can for 2-3 hours and alternate between each others machines. Her DGD is going to be eleven. She comes over once in a while after school to use my machine. She has certain projects she like to use my machines for even though the material is the same. I believe she just likes using my machines and that is very OK with me. We have a good time and go through each others stash and trade and barter. LOl!!!

That's awesome! My sister is wonderful but alas, she is not into sewing and crafty stuff like I am. That's OK though, that way I don't have to feel bad about being so greedy with MY stash....I am not a sharer! It's mine until I make something with it, and THEN she can have it!

I have begun to teach her kids how to sew, though. So I might find myself with some sewing buddies in the family after all.

When I decided to begin quilting two years ago, my sister who had been at it for 30 years made me a care package to encourage me to begin. Loads of fabric and notions and best of all took on the job of mentor. Two years later she is still giving to me. I am blessed and I know it.
