Neat ideas, but with the price of fabric, it seems like you would be wasting a lot of fabric.

This is one of the methods where you think it's so simple - why didn't I figure that out????

I found this site last night-it's fabulous! Showed it to BFF when she arrived today. I found some of the ideas very exciting.
With all the stash I have, I don't think I'll worry about using a bit extra. Can't wait to start.

I tried a few different squares and they came out fine. I love the four patch. They came out perfect.

No kidding...you're right this is pure genius. Don't care much for the "flappy" style, but the idea and execution is masterful! Thanks so much for sharing.

I don't either, but when I saw her fold that part back (kind of like a cathedral windows quilt) I thought that was pretty cool!!

I have a ruler that is perfect for centering the 5 in square in the middle of the 10 in square. It's called Spare Change ruler. I got it at Missouri Star Quilt Company. I made the quilt top in this video in Sat afternoon. It's my DH favorite quilt. He keeps it on his chair. Now my Son in Law, Uncle and nephew want one like it. I used the Kansas Troubles layer cake and charm pack.

I don't try to save fabric when making a quilt, waste is just normal for a fun fast quilt to make.

I like these methods. A great way to use one of the 10" packages I've purchased. Thanks for Sharing.
