I agree with Stella63. It is a beautiful quilt! The black just makes those colors pop.

Thanks again ladies I always know where to come when I have a problem deciding what to do...

Yes,I am glad that everyone went for two more rows of the colored fabric, that's what I was kind of thinking too..

This is the first time that I have used a charm packs for a quilt, this charm pack is called Tie-Dye Balis by Benartex, and I will be using 3 charm packs, in case anyone wanted to know about the fabric, it is really bright and happy colors and would have been a pain to try and find all of these colors by the yard. also I got it at MSQC too..

This is the fastest quilt I have ever made and so easy, I think I will be using this pattern for some baby quilts for the hospital as it works up so fast.. Thanks again everyone for you help, now back to the machine...

I like your quilt and that pattern. It's a great one that will be for either a guy or a gal. I would add the two row of strips and then just quilt and bind. That will keep a more modern feel to the quilt which a lot of young people really like these days. And me, too.

I would probably add two more strips of the colored fabric, then add a strip of the black equal to the black strips in the quilt as a border all around before adding a black binding.

Gorgeous. I made a similar one for my son from batiks with black background, and then bordered in black to make a larger quilt. I then bound in black. Turned out cool.
