    I have used it in numerous quilts but have always backed it with a woven cotton fusible interfacing so that it can be washed.

    I used iron on fusible light weight interfacing on lame. It was for a Bargello quilt and came out just fine. Do not Iron to much as it will melt the lame.

    The main thing I've learned with using any fabric that frays easily is to use more generous seams. Otherwise you can have an issue with the seams coming apart later on.
    Another benefit of using the more generous seams is that you can do your pins within the seam allowance so no issue with possible pin holes showing.

    Back it with interfacing. there is a low heat kind available. fusible interfacing== I made panels for tree skirt & appliques & work fine
