    This is beautiful.
    I like Tessagin's suggestion for a label.

    What about.

This quilt made for Baby's name, comes for a special day that joined your Mom and Dad to for the union of FAMILY NAME which you are born into with love.

Thank you for the compliments and for the quilt label suggestions. I like both suggestions and will incorporate your ideas for the label. I'm thinking about making it a heart-shaped label.

The quilt is gorgeous! You did a fabulous job with a really hard task... I think the momma needs to keep that quilt as a memory of her wedding day, and let you make a baby quilt for the baby!

How about "2 joined together + 1 makes a family". Brings the fact of the wedding (dress) and its a baby's quilt.

What a beautiful idea and results are fabulous. As for the label, the date completed is the most important. After that, what others have suggested.

I think you should also include a history of the material used along with the date of the wedding. This is a real keepsake and while your daughter and those now might know the history and dates others down the road might not.
