Hi, Great quilt, just a binding in a strong colour, after all a binding is just another border

I think it depends on the size you're after. Solid binding/border but yes solid.

Thanks for all your responses!! I think I will wait til the end of the month when we find out what gender we are having then do a border in a solid color!! Unless of course I find an awesome primary color that would work!! I can't wait for my daughter to see it next month!!

Love it, and I too vote for a solid border to make all those alphabet blocks pop

I'm making my granddaughter a quilt with that panel also, yours is a completely different approach than mine- yours is adorable and will look great either way. If you want width go with a border, if you don't need one you could definitely bind it as you have it. Great job!!

I think it needs a frame. You could use a thin solid color border, or a solid color binding, or you can do both. If you do both, I would probably use the same color for each.
