Congratulations with getting it finished and I look forward to seeing pix of it. I've had one hanging over my head for about a year and I'm almost finished too.

The last time I had only 1 WIP/UFO was........ My FIRST QUILT. 25 years later, the list keeps growing. I've got 3 for the charity projects at the Guild. Then there's Christmas.... rabbit trail-where'd that hare go anyway? At least 5 art projects waiting for the next inspiration connected with time and determination.

I applaud your success with only one project at a time.

I also have a 5 or 6 year old project that I desperately need to finish but I just can't seem to make myself work on it. I'm slowley getting there but it's a real struggle. I have promised myself that I will finish it before year-end 2016. LOL Wish me luck.

Congratulations! I could never stick to the one-project rule. These Virtual Quilting weekends really do help me to catch up on my UFO's and even my current projects. This past weekend I put down three projects. Of course I went into Monday to get it all done. What a good feeling!

I am envious of that one-project rule. Would I get it done? I have so many UFOs that I have actually lost one somewhere. A green and gold dahlia with a mountain in the middle. But I do have a fur baby on my lap now putting her paw on my face trying to get my attention away from this board.

I also go by the one rule project;otherwise, it bogs my mind. Of course, there is always a "next" project in my mind.

I tend to like each project completed and manage to do so but my problem is I have so many starts going on in my head that I don't know which one I want to do next. I drag out all kinds of fabrics and patterns and make a mess before my mind is made up ...but then I seem to be able to stick to it until completion...LOL.

that is some lovely fabric, and you look perfectly cozy with your binding buddy. I don't think I'll ever get to the "one project at a time" stage. I've learned to accept it. Congratulations on your finish!

I should use this rule! I am however starting a 5 project rule. I work on one of my projects on my list for about 2-3 hours before I work on the next project on the list. I continue until I finish all 5 then start up again with 5 UFO's again. I've known about this method for a long time, just never have used it. I hope it will give me some much needed inspiration. The backing on the quilt in the picture is beautiful. Can't wait to see the front.
