    Lynnie,
My daughter works in a nursing home as a cook and these cookies are a favorite. Every week she makes a new flavor and there are never any left. So beware...they become addictive. LOL

the only problem is they are sticky, so you MUST roll them in the powdered sugar. We have a Ctownand they have a bazillion flavors of cke and Walmart always has an exclusive flavor there too. have fun.

Roll them before, they turn out flat when baked.

Lynnie, thank you for this recipe....our youngest daughter and I baked holiday cookies today. We used a Pillabury Funfetti mix...they looked very Christmasie after they were baked... Very nice cookies.
Grandson and son in law were the frosters for the cut outs and gramps was in charge of dish washing..a very big job for sure.

I made 2 batches last night.
For the 2nd batch I used the whole container of Cool Whip. The mix was not moist enough for the first batch.

I use a cake mix to make cookies too, but my recipe is from the seventies, and I forget where I got it. For those of you who like me, hate the texture of things with cream in them, I will share mine also.

    Fast cookies-
    1 cake mix, any flavor
    1 cube of butter
    2 eggs
Beat the eggs, and then add the butter and cake mix. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet, bake 10-12 minutes at 350. At Easter and other holidays I use a white cake mix and tint it with a couple drops of food coloring, or you can sprinkle them with a pinch of sugar on top before baking and get a sparkly cookie. We have even rolled the spoon of dough into a small bowl of cinnamon and sugar and made a pretty good snicker doodle cookie.

Do you use a stick of butter? Not sure how much for a cube.

1 cube/stick of butter is equal to 1/2 cup. FYI- Do not use softened margarine in baking, it makes things come out tough, and unpleasant.

We've tried them using red velvet, chocolate and french vanilla cake mix. Our fav by far is the french vanilla! So good!

i made 6 batches of the cake mix cookies today. one box of cake mix, 1/2 cup oil, 2 eggs. drop by spoonful on parchment paper. I had 5 cookie sheets going at one time. When done, throw away parchment, put away cookie sheets. No muss, no fuss. Bake at 350 for 14 min.
