    I think a memorial quilt is appropriate if your daughter wants one.

    It is devastating to lose a wanted child.

    So sorry for her loss (and yours). I think a memory quilt is wonderful. I volunteer at a hospital and they make memory folders with pockets for pictures, lock of hair, clothes, hospital bracelet etc. but an embroidered quilt in the preferred colors will be a lovely reminder of a little one taken too soon. I would think 12" x 12" would be a good size. Love the little elephant in an earlier post.
