Very pretty baby quilt. No animal patterns, my kids are 47,50,54. My youngest Grandchild is 14. Great Grands get new stuffed animals.

Looks good. My mom's favorite bear pattern is in storage, or I'd send it to you. She made literally hundreds of scrappy bears.

I am pretty sure that is called a square in a square block pattern. I have used it many times in different quilts as a setting block in a two block quilt. It adds a lot of snazz with very little work.

I was able to find a very vintage baby animals pattern. I cut out a baby lion, giraffe and a bear. Wouldn't you know the elephant was missing from the pattern envelope. They are almost a flat animals with embroidery to give the features of the faces. I am thinking from the fifties maybe? They will be really easy for baby to snuggle with.

Carols Zoo patterns, i think in Mccalls or Simplicity has the pattern...2 pieces. the elephant and the giraff come out adorable, and don't look like a 2 pc pattern. I've made them a few times to go with the quilts I've made. they are very cute. don't like the bear or cat though.

I bought a coloring book with large easy pictures, and get my quilt figures or animals from there.

Very nice baby quilt! I really like the pieced middle border and the small squares at the corners of the outer border.
