Became so curious about this product, I just kept searching.......one comment was "company out of business". Wonder if that's true, if so, this will surely be a "hot" item..

The baguette pans info says lids traps steam and allows bread to expand. Maybe it works the same.

It took me years to find two glass bread pans in the larger size I wanted. I like a light crust on my bread so glass is best for me. If you like a crusty loaf, these look like just the ticket though.

The crust is so crispy you can hear it crackling right out of the oven. Grocery store bread can't compare. My DD was in France and Italy for awhile and told me my bread tasted just like the fresh bread at the bakery there.

The lid is the secret. The bread in five minutes a day recipe recommends using a dutch oven or other covered pan to get a crispy crust.

I do fine baking the bread without the overpriced pan, thanks. Saves even MORE money.

I don't think it's over priced. I ordered two of them from Amazon for my best friend who loves to bake bread. She will love them! And will bake me some bread!

I have this pan, and I really wish I had another. I've baked bread many times, using all the "tricks" to get the crust nice and crisp while keeping the inside soft, and nothing else has worked right. The first time I used this pan, I got the perfect baguette, and my son agrees that it's just like the bread we had in France. I know I'll be on the lookout for a second one, hope I can find one at a good price.

I use a piece of velcro wrapped around the middle to keep all the pieces together when I'm storing them.
