    I've seen this pattern on MSQC and love your idea of prints instead. Great finish that will be adored.

    The binding with the white strip is called a flange binding. I found it on the internet a couple of years ago, and it is now my go-to binding for all my quilts. The binding is machine stitched on both sides of the quilt, and there is no handstitching. I am very pleased with the way it works.

    It is very easy to do. You just sew all your strips together, wof, and then cut out the three pieces the size that you want. Then you add 2 strips of sashing between the 3 pieces, sew them together, add a border and binding and you are done.
