From me: Oh, that quilt won't take very long. Hah! Replace 'that quilt' with 'the binding'. Binding seems to take way too much time.

Probably because your seam allowance has to be absolutely consistant for the blocks to come out right. Also they can be really confusing to put together. It can be hard to get the blocks to come out the same size... I could go on and on.

Like Innov8R "use only the finest cottons from your LQS"....'fraid not...no LQS for kms and I am a rabid upcycler. I will try and make quilts out of almost anything, which is sometimes a challenge, but much fun. Sometimes I am almost intimidated by a good quality new fabric...and yet I throw myself into making quilts out of men's shirts or clothing with abandon.
