Sorry about the size of the picture. Can't seem to cut it down.

Two more, same pattern, different fabric. ( Left one has a 4 patch instead of 6 1/2" square)

For a really quick quilt, I use a piece of kid print fabric which I call a cheat sheet and add borders as Jingle does. Another quick one is a jelly roll made from scrappy strips.

My go to is the disappearing 9 patch with Kid friendly I spy blocks that stay whole, a bright solid in the middle and white or blender in the cut up blocks. Always quick, always a winner because I always have 5" I spy charms and bright colors from swaps on this board.

The Project Linus quilt organization is an excellent resource. They have several free quilt patterns on their site. Then there is the Super Sized 9 patch quilt by Anita Grossman Solomon; actually makes 3 quilts at one time. Pretty cool. And quick! Here are the links:

I am currently getting together all of my left over pre-cut border and/binding strips and I intend to just sew those together end to end (those that are same width) and then do that race quilt thing. It will be a good way for me to use up those left-overs I have been storing in a bin!

My Five Easy Pieces Charity quilt can easily be downsized for a child's quilt, just use 9 blocks instead of 20. If you do a search on this Board for that title, it should come up. It is in the Tutorials archive section now I think.

If you go to Pinterest and type in Charm Quilts - you will see lots of easy to do quilts - mostly smaller ones.
