I just saw Bonnie Hunters clue #2 for her mystery this year and it is FG. She gives different ways to make them.

It is no waste FG, 4 at a time. Deb Tucker also has instructions. I enjoy FG and make them often, so bought both sizes of her wing clipper tool. And I usually don't buy specialty rulers!

I don't know what the 45 thing is either, but have made flying geese using Eleanor Burns method (did not turn out well) and then used Deb Tucker's WING CLIPPER. They turn out exact every time and are so easy! I would definitely advise buying the Wing Clipper from Deb Tucker's website (Studio 180 design). I have no affiliation with either quilter...just love all of the templates that I have purchased from Deb Tucker.

I did a search on the AQS page, and found this link. If you read the last sentence in the first paragraph, you will see that it really is for FOUR quick geese. Hope this helps!

I have made flying geese by Eleanor Burns method; short cuts by Carla, called kits by Carla (multi-geese at a time) and tried different tutorials until I found the one I prefer from BlocLoc www.blocloc.com. Set two is 1.5 x 3 ; 2" x 4". It makes the blocks uniform. I did all 25 blocks of the Wild Flying Geese by E. Burns using the BlocLoc smaller template. I also use their half triangle squares for the same reason. Would highly recommend them. Bought mine at the American Quilt Show in Des Moines, Iowa and have used them ever since. Wondered how I did it before using them...its so easy and quick!
