    I did in fact make it with jelly rolls. And the size is the reason I was asking for the name. Someone asked me for the pattern and I don't have the quilt anymore (It's for Prayers and Squares) so I couldn't measure the squares. It annoys me when I see on the on line patterns that they sew a Square on the corner and cut off the triangles. That seems such a waste to me. Why not just cut triangles to sew on the corners. Anyway, I think my squares finished at 8 inches.

    I don't know why the border looks so puffy. It didn't seem that way in real life.

    I love this pattern: it's perfect for using up little scraps! But over here i didn't hear how it is named!

    I, too, know the pattern as Indian Hatchet. I think, many years ago that AQS featured that pattern.
