Yes, I think it's possible to figure out how it was made. The star would be 4 blocks with a quarter each, and the circles would be made in quarters, too. It reminds me of NYB. Haven't had the time yet to do research, but I'm sure one could PP those. If there's nothing online, it wouldn't be the first time that I create my own PP patterns for NYB...

What a beautiful quilt and GREAT find! I would try to find a quilting chapter that could get you in touch with someone to evaluate your gorgeous find. It would be awesome to find out more about it. Please share if you find out more! and Happy Birthday...

I would find a quilt appraiser. That is Stunning and I believe it is really pretty old. Most of the larger quilt shows have an appraiser or check with the American Quilt Society to locate a good one. If you do get it appraised please let us know what you find out!
PS: Wish I had seen it first! I sospect it is old and valuable.

What an awesome find! I've never seen that design, either.
Usually you "age" a quilt by the fabrics used in it. I can't see your fabrics real well, but I think I'm seeing different colors of the same prints... which would mean it was made from yardage rather than clothing scraps. So I'm not thinking that it is as old as some of you are saying. But, who cares? It's a gorgeous quilt, meticulously made, and definitely a treasure! Enjoy it.

What a fabulous find this quilt is! This looks to me to be two NYB blocks set together to form the serpantine alternated with a star block. What a great pattern. Like Monale, I may just have to save this for a someday bucket list quilt. I have never seen anything like that and it is very intriguing. Love the cheddar background too.
