I bought a small one to try and I love it. I bought the big one. It really makes a difference. Of all the ones I've seen in my guild, they all shed a little bit (not on fabric) and they all seem to have a slight smell, and will get scorch marks. All that is normal. It's worth every penny to me.
If it scorches ...they have the iron too hot. Use the wool setting...not cotton setting. Love mine.
