Love them. Your work is beautiful. Love the cross body bag. You should write up a pattern. Thanks for sharing your finished projects.

Looks like you have the knack for totes and bags...our modern quilt guild has chosen to do a bag/tote each month for a 2019 quilt project. Since we have a meeting next week, I guess I better get busy. This will be an interesting task for me...maybe I could just borrow one of yours. LOL

Thumbs up Great bags

First, I'll show the crossbody bags. I made these bags when a certain designer's (VB) quilted bags were all the craze (and still are). I look at the dimensions given and thought, I'm gonna try that. Well here are my results. Of course, I always quilt my body pieces first and then cut to the size I need. No pattern for these, though. The pink was my second bag this style. The first one, I sewed a separate bottom and piped it. Too much sugar for the candy, so to speak. This one and all other crossbody, I just boxed the corners....
Now the blue and white Waverly fabric as you can see was a new curtain topper that I bought at a Thrift Shop. This pattern is free on the web but I don't seem to be able to find it in my files. If someone is interested, I look better and try to add a link. I'm sure I stipple quilted this. (Some of my crossbody bags I stippled and some I cross hatched.
Now the reds, I know I stipple quilted and wanted to show you that you can use any color fabric to quilt to, as long as it doesn't show through your main fabric or lining, as it will be hidden in between the two. Here is the link for the red bags. Now again, I made the front a little different from the pattern, because I have the front panel lined and left openings on both the right and left sides, when I stitched the front panel on. This means your front piece will have to be whole like the back.I did this so you would have this pocket for keys, phone, whatever.I also like hardware for my handles so I know they are attached differently.
Well, I hope you like my 'Bag Show' and hope you all have a nice day-Toogie http://shop.mybluprint.com/sewing/pa...ote-bag/321108
Thanks for this info...I do not use patterns very much either and these pictures are a great help

These bags are super nice and I love all the pictures gives me great inspiration. I make a lot of totes and bags and love doing something different every time so I do not follow patterns too much. My DIL's and granddaughters love them.

those are very nice! I enjoy making bags like that, but it seems I'm always working on a quilt so don't make many. I bought a lot of notions for bags when the local fabric store went out of business. The hardware gets very expensive!
