I recently bought the 1/4" guided foot for my Janome. I am not sure I like it yet. I have a hard time getting it 'set' at the right placement to the fabric. I am still working on this. With your Bernina a dealer my be you best help as you would be able to not only demonstrate you problem but also observer a possible solution.

For long strips you can keep them together by using Dritz Quilting Wash Away Wonder Tape. It holds the strips perfectly together, and washes out when you launder. Another way to do it would be to glue them together with an Elmers Washable Glue Stick. Sometimes you just need to force the fabric to behave. I'd much rather use a glue stick than pin, and it all washes out after.

I bought it from Missouri Sewing Machine Co. in Overland Park, KS--they are a Janome dealer and apparently keep them in stock.

here's the Deluxe Walking Foot by babylock.
if you click on the manual you can read the instructions for using what babylock considers a 1/4" guide.
it isn't the sort of guide i am looking for, but it is interesting.

many thanks to Rhonda K [smiling face + thumbs up]
