I am sure he is going to love it! Even it you don't think is has enough contrast it has enough that each piece can stand on its own and each piece is not overwhelmed by the surrounding pieces. You have done a great job on this one a real 5 star! Thanks for sharing.

Nice manly quilt. Your Son will love it so much. Great workmanship and I think you have nice contrast in your fabrics

Thank you. It’s a conversation piece for sure. Each block features a different lotería card. Each card is mega amusing. I have a couple of favorites. My son’s wife is learning Spanish so she is enjoying it.

My daughter gave me the best compliment, said it looks like a work of art.

I did not use a pattern just worked out one block and then repeated. As to the layout I wanted it wider so I added the dark rectangular blocks alternating location on each row.

The reverse has the same fabrics so the quilting stitches (ruler and fmq) stand out well.

    Happy quilting!

I struggle to make quilts for men as I gravitate to light fabrics and flowers. Your quilt is wonderful and helped me see that I really do enjoy darker colors too! Fabulous quilt!

Great quilt. Have to admit that I had to google Loteria... never heard of it. How fun.

I didn't really know what that fabric was, thanks for inspiring me to look it up.
