For those with embroidery machines: magnetic Snap Hoop. Makes life so much easier especially if you're quilting or monogramming towels. Big ticket item though.

Someone mentioned Kai scissors. I have loads of scissors and Kai are my absolute favorite.

One thing I've been looking at is that Craftbox- I think that's the name of it. But it's VERY pricey. I also think it may be more for crafters than quilters. I could be wrong though, but that's what it looks like to me.

An extra set of everything (scissors, rotary cutter, spare blades, seam ripper, measuring tape, needles, etc., etc.) in a travel case so that I don't have to pack every little thing when I take my machine travelling with me.

I don't understand never would have bought it for myself. Why not? How else will you know if you love it or not?
I didn't think the Slotted triangle rulers would be so wonderful but they are. I use them instead of my Block Lock ruler. An older item that works is the Clover Hot Hemmer Pressing Tool. I use it for crisp folds for all types of projects. My latest fun purchase was the Jerry's Jelly Roll Jig. You put the jelly roll strip in with batting and the tool folds it as you sew it.

Thanks to a posting by another person on the Board, for an inexpensive but WONDERFUL item - bobbin washers! I could not believe the difference in how smoothly sewing my seams is! The tension really stays where I want it to and not one tangle or loose thread! I got mine from Amazon (as I do for a lot of things!) Package of 12 Teflon washers for about $4.00. Drop it in the bobbin cut, then put the bobbin on top and off you go! Thank you SO much to the original poster. Just a super good idea for a small present or Stockig Stuffer!
Oh, the ones I got is Peavy Tailor.
