    I love this! Black is what I usually end up doing with scrappies and I do hear that about going blind trying to see your stitches(plus I usually quilt it with black too).

    You did a fabulous job and the black does make the colors shine. My suggestion is if you are going to quilt it with an overall pattern and your backing is not black, to quilt it from the back. I quilted a black quilt from the front and had a terrible time, even side lighting it. Good luck!
