    That's an idea, I've used fabric to wrap the rails of another quilt rack. It's just hard to make sure the folded edges don't touch the side rails.

    You'll have to show your ladder again when you have it "loaded" with quilts.

    I've seen an article somewhat recently, possibly YouTube (?) not only with the recommendations of the acid free paper, pool noodles but cut up white towels over each rung.

    I work a lot with poly-urathane and yes, it comes in many finishes. It's really the only thing that I can think of that won't leave any residue on your quilts. I would not trust a wax, or oil.

    Pool noodles...geesh, I'll just take the pool, thank you very much. I've always had a pool, but now I don't and this makes me very sad.
