Like aashley I am curious why you are tracing the panto on the backing fabric. Will you quilt with the backing on top?

Your quilt is lovely and you did a fabulous job with the quilting. I just didn't want to put that much time into doing a huge 85" x 100" quilt. I looked for a BH thread of Rhododendron quilts but couldn't find it. Thanks for the direction.

Yes, if the piecing is too busy or too dark in color I try to find a lighter backing that I can trace on. And yes, I quilt it from the back with the right side facing down. I've done most of my pantos this way, otherwise I do custom from the front side.
