I like the designing and decision making. I overwhelm myself with too many ideas. The repetitive stuff; put on good music or audio book.

I need someone to keep me on task. Not a nag or taskmaster, just a friendly someone to keep the momentum going and on track.

I know some might see that as making a hobby seem like a chore. However, I have extreme ADD and can quickly get distracted or overwhelmed by too many choices and have no sense of time.

Having a friendly assistant/coach to help start a process and keep going until completion would be nice. Someone that is also working on their own projects, not just watching me do things. That would seem odd. : )

They’d need to be flexible and know I need several projects going at a time. Ha! Plus snacks and naps. Yes, I think kindergarten-style art time, nap time, and clean up time would work well for me.

Oh gosh. I wouldn't want any of that. It is all part of the quilting process for me.

    Here's my list:
    1) Do the grocery shopping, prepping dinner, and clean up afterward so I don't have to stop sewing.

So you go to your local community college, and find someone who needs a part time job from the arts department. They would know about colors, and the rest you could train them.

The first thing I'd teach an assistant is how to trim my chain pieced blocks. I hate that job, (but I do love moving on to the next step with perfect size blocks!)

Oh, how about William Powell for a butler to bring me tea and biscuits just when I begin to get frustrated and need a little break.

Well if we're getting a butler, can we also get a handsome cabana boy to bring us margaritas in the afternoon? 😁
