Someone on the board did one with a heart design and when DDIL said she wanted Black and red with hearts it just seemed like a good idea. Lots of sewing tho! I just had to take the doorbell box off the wall to get it to fit up on the wall for sandwiching!!

Now keep in mind if you have nice walls (I don't) you probably don't want to do it this way. But here is what I do: Using push pins the ones with the plastic colored heads. I tack my backing along the top of the wall every 8-10 inches then I tack on one side, go to the other side stretch and tack, keep going until you reach the bottom of your wall. (I have to reposition mine after I get half done as I have wainscoting) Next I put on the batting the same way across the top and alternate from each side. Then I do the top starting down a few inches and over a few inches on the side keep tacking keeping everything taunt. Once it is tacked on I pin baste every 6 inches across the top and then in between each pin for the next row keep going till you reach the bottom. At this point I have to move it up so take the push pins all out move it up to the top and repeat the process. I live in a trailer and have a 23 foot hallway but only about 6 feet of open space in the living room to lay anything out. I hope you can understand what I do. It does leave holes in your wall. I just cover most of them with pictures!! I am not sure if I just attached the correct pictures but this should be when it was up on the wall.

Wow! What a great way to do this. No rolling up and taking to the library, no basting thread caught in my bed cover, (thats where I baste and roll now because i am not able to get up and down from the floor) and you can atually see your whole quilt. Little holes in the wall? Who cares??? I love this and I thank you so much!
