In my experience, the stains don't dissapear. everything changes colors, including the stains, so they are always different than the rest of the fabric.

I have used Grandma's Spot remover that I purchase at my LQS. It is kind of expensive, but it has taken out every stain I have tried to remove.

Have you tried putting it in the tub and letting it soak for a while with some stain remover or all fabric bleach? Years ago I used amway all fabric bleach. It even took red transmission oil out of a white t shirt. They told us to mix some in a tub of water and let your stuff soak overnight. Boy did it work. I even soaked my DH's old lawn mowing tennies and the next morning they looked brand new!! I think you can order it online.

Have you tried lemon juice and sunshine? That takes out an amazing number of stains. (and it's cheap.)

Oh no.....how disappointing and distressing! I haven't left the spray on that long...I don't think....but I will sure be more careful about it....how are you fairing getting the stain out??? I'm pulling for you!!

I'm washing it again right now with Oxy Clean and some Clorox II tablet-type things. If that doesn't work I'll soak it with Clorox II liquid. If that doesn't work I'll try the sunshine and lemon juice tip. If that doesn't work I'll just cry.

Thank you for all the tips. By the time this is over with, I'll know how to get anything out.

One more thing to try is to soak it in Biz detergent. I had a fabric bleed on the backing of a quilt. I mixed a "heavy" concentration of Biz and water in the sink and soaked the offending area for several hours and then machine washed with Biz and the stain was gone. Good luck.

Is it just on the border strip or over the entire quilt.
I know is would be a lot of work but if it's just on the outside strip of the quilt you could replace that strip.
