I often do pick two or three fabrics from the same collection, but then I actually add the rest to my color liking.

I never buy collections. Part of the reason I quilt is because I feel like I am making something totally unique. I assume many people buy collections so there would be lots of quilts that look like mine and I don't want that. Also, they are usually too perfectly matched for me. I like to mix it up a little when picking colors.

I don't buy collections. I prefer picking out my own fabrics for whatever I am making. Which is why I don't buy kits either.

I usually choose my own colors and such, but when I did the Underground Railroad sampler, I did stay with the Moda collection.

Mix and Match it kind of makes it feel like more of your idea.

I don't even think of the collection, just find what I like together.

I don't usually buy from a collection, however, I bought a jelly roll (where you can only see the outside fabric) thinking it would all "go" together. Terrible! I'll finish it up and donate to our guild charity supply. There was not good contrast and some of the strips didn't even look like they could have been from the same collection.
