    Oh no, another quilter who will get the bug. I started with a lap quilt, which cost me 600.00. I had to buy myself a sewing machine first. That was 4 years ago, and like the energizing bunny I have kept going and going. Now I am making lap quilts for our shut-ins from church. With the other scraps I have left I will be making lap quilts for the Womens' shelter in our neighbourhood. All worthwhile projects for the leftovers.

    I have tried both. I prefer to baste, that way when you quilt, you do not have the pins to contend with. Sometimes, I use both, depending on the size I make.
