    Thank you everyone - I'd have to go measure to be sure but I think the strips were about 2 1/2", pocoellie.

    What size were your hexagons? Are they smaller than normal? What a beautiful piece--the colors are so rich.

    I cut my strips at 2 1/2" - just went to measure to be sure! I felt the need to go a bit smaller to really hack up those poppies! The hexs finish at 4" straight edge to straight edge and 4 1/2" from point to point. :-D
