cooking oil works too but I am afraid it might stain the leather. I think the ice cube or freezer should work, we have really cold winters here and the work boots freeze and aren't changed from freezing.

Oh No... The rest of your week can only go better now that you got that out of the way  :D:D:D

I use Goo Gone and it works great, but being oily it may make your leather sole slick. I like the ice idea

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Think I'll try holding ice on it...

And the week is ONLY getting better.....This is my 2nd month to do our guild's monthly newsletter. It has to be emailed in a certain format as it was determined that this was the most common. Anyway, none of my programs would let me convert it to this format. I downloaded Open Office (free) and then spent THREE days of life last month getting the ****ing thing done and emailed. Program would not cooperate with what I needed it to do. So this month I decided it would be easier if I just typed in everyone's info so it would be easier for me. Anyway -- newsletter went out this morning by email (and snail mail). The president emailed me and said that I'd done a "good job" and had a very nicely worded suggestion about adding something to next month's newsletter. The kicker? A few minutes ago I got a NASTY email from a guild member who stated, "Doesn't anyone proof read this newsletter?? You spelled (the President's) name wrong!" Well, good golly, maybe I'll just take all the newsletter stuff and drop it in her lap at the next meeting so she can do it

It's just a little past noon here but I either need a nap OR an alcoholic drink.....

A drink. (And I'm an almost tee-totaller)

LOL Joyce, too funny, I got my newsletter, and did not notice the typo. Maybe you could mail the offending member as a gift to the grumpy walmart man. Seems that they have a few things in common, probably will hit it right off, or hit each other.

Well, instead of a drink, I had a short nap which improved my disposition a little   I hate when I make such glaring mistakes that CAN'T be fixed....oh, well. Maybe no one else will notice the misspelling...

I would tell them, if they can find someone that could do it better and have them do it from now on.
I don't have a lot of patience with people, my pets have never acted like that.
Have a great rest of the week and weekend.

Try any kind of oil. Those of us with peanut issues have found any kind will work. My husband really hates when I use his really good olive oil on stuff like this.
