Look forward to more input, thanks so much.
Ever thought of a ladybug in 3D?
Granny
lol actually... it was in a toy sent to my 5 yr old lol... she loved the toy, but was a bit old to enjoy the crinkle (you know long distant relatives send things at times without realizing a kid isnt a baby anymore lol) she didnt want it in there, so i took it out, and decided it might come in handy :D

the 1 in the picture was my second attempt to make it... the first was pitiful, lol.
when i held up the finished top, i found i had to pin the loose wing down to take a picture or it flaps loose. lol i have 1 section left to hand quilt and them binding, then im done and sending it off to Texas :D

what a delightful idea.. and thank you for sharing this. Some time ago I found a pattern for the pin wheel block, which I love and this one showed me how to make the pin wheels three D. This has been my most signature baby quilt for the passed 12 years. And so many of quilting friends, much, much more advance then I had never seen it done. Basically I had learned how to do prarie points before they were the in thing.. I wanted to figure it out and I did. So I salute you for your wonderful 3D block.
