Depends on the pattern.... I'm making a friendship quilt (hand piecing) and am using natural muslin

I love using the white on white, but when using reproduction fabrics or when I want an older look, I use muslin. When making scrappy quilts, I also like to use many different white on white fabrics for all the background pieces. I also use a lot of cream on cream. It all just depends on the pattern and other fabrics I'm using.

Again, different here. I find the white on white to have very uneven coverage. Many of the ones I have used, the design area is very dense because of the "color" but the areas in between are thin and way to clear for me. In some cases you can even see the batting. I prefer Kona because of the heavier feel and the even look.

I have used both white on white and Kona white. I find that white on white is harder to find, for some reason. I seem to prefer more solid colors than most quilters, but that is why quilting is so much fun. Nothing is wrong, it is all personal preference.

Just depends on the other fabrics and what pattern is on the white on white.

In my opinion, solid colors show the quilting designs better. Since the actual quilting is my worst skill, I use white on white to hide it a bit. If I ever get good at quilting that may change.

I buy and use good quality 200-250 thread count white cotton sheets. I buy them when I see them for a good price, so I have a stash of them. If I buy a set, I use the fitted sheet for strips and pieces, and the flat for the back.

    (Also, I'm cheap.)
