I'm new to quilting also but I would have the beige part equal distance from the black all around --or--
large on the bottom with the names and wedding date.
    Whatever--congratulations on your work

It is goreous just the way it is! I would bind it in black. Your mom is going to be tickled to death! What a special daughter you are.

Beautiful job Dutchgirl! I like it just as it is, & I vote for black binding too. You could put their wedding date & this year's anniversary date on your label on the back. :D

Me too!!! Its absolutely perfect!! I would add their wedding date though. Black binding would be absolutely wonderful!! Great job, your mom will be proud and your dad will be thrilled to pieces!!! How clever and thoughtful of a daughter are you!

It is beautiful as is but Mamagus has a really good idea... Esp if it is a current silhouette and they appear to be looking into the past..

I think the silhouettes are fine, bkack binding and the date to make it more special.

Leave it as is since it is just perfect, and I agree bind in black. Oh would love to see there faces when they open it. Congrates to the newly weds 40 years is a mile stone these days.

After looking at it some more I agree with barnbum they look like they are walking out of the quilt the way it is. I guess I didn't notice that the first time. That is cool.
