Congrat's I know you'll have lots of fun with this stuff.
My entire family is in CA and we can't afford to go home for Christmas this year. It is a BIG deal with my family and I'm really bummed I can't go. Love to watch all the little kids tear into their present and squeel with delight.

Enjoy your holiday with everyone!!! ;)

I would make the argument that you should "test drive" it to make sure it is in good working order. After all, it could get damaged in transit (hee hee). Then you'd have to return it and wait a long time for a replacement - waaaaay after Christmas. (This has worked for me in the past)

I am sorry twospoiledhuskies. I totally understand not being able to be with your family for the holidays when it is a big deal. my hubbys family is all in CA. we haven't been there for almost 8 years for a holiday. don't have the money and when we do he likes to go for his birthday in the summer.

I envy you. Not what you got, but how. I love Christmas too, and I get very excited about it during the wait. DH says I am the one who can't wait for Christmas, but he always gives me my present as soon as I help him pick/buy it. Giving hints or a wish list doesn't help. There won't be anything under the tree from him.

My mom is getting me a walking foot for my machine. I had one and it broke. Can't wait to have it either!! My biggest thing is the kids for Christmas. I love watching them open up their presents. That's really the best part for me.

I don't know what it is about me but the minute I finished a Christmas gift, I can't wait to give it to the person, mostly family. It really drives me crazy wanting to give it. I think your Mom should give it to you now so you can make something wonderful for her for Christmas, my husband got a new computer and forbid me to wrap it, he wanted it now! So it isn't just children who get so excited, we older folks do too. I love Christmas Eve the best, my kids all come home (some from far away) and that is my present, with all my family and grandchildren here and having a wonderful time.

Hang in there, it's getting closer every day. You should join the Doll Quilt Swap, you'll get a lot of practice that way, and it is a blast.

My DH and I moved away from where our grown kids still live, so things will be a little different for us this year. So we're going to do something different. We were having trouble thinking of what to get for each other so we decided to shop for ourselves but keep it a secret from each other as to what we're getting.

I ordered myself a laptop hoop for hand-quilting :) It's already been shipped and I can't wait to get it so I can start hand-quilting a baby quilt that's all ready and waiting!

    Happy Holidays everyone!
