There is probably a slight learning curve, especially if you've never worked with a graphics program before. But it comes with a good book that includes step-by-step instructions, plus video tutorials.

I use it a lot. Which doesn't tell you anything about how much YOU might use it. ;-)

I have the EQ5 that I have not used yet. I guess there are to many free patterns for me to design my own.

For those who have EQ5 there is a special offer...they do not state what until you fill out the form. http://www.electricquilt.com/Shop/EQ5toEQ7.asp

I have EQ6 and use it all the time. I love that I can scan in my own fabrics. Then when I design my quilt in EQ6 I can see the finished quilt with the exact fabrics I plan to use.

Doing this also makes changing your mind about which fabric to use where in the quilt very easy.

I broke down and ordered it. I also ordered a ruler and some little things on clearance so I could get the free shipping.

Looking forward to getting it! I don't think I will need to order books or patterns. Now maybe the quilt patterns floating in my head will come out and be real.
