My feet hurt and I couldn't sleep until my meds worked. I just wandered around, waited until #7 was posted and then went to bed. Problem is that then I sleep until Noon. lol[/quote]
Oh SadieMae, I know how you feel. Pain is what keeps me up 'til all hours and then I sleep 'til noon also.

you know?
Normally, I don't like a lot of "light" spaces in my quilts because white and I are polar opposites <g> ... (I am sort of a bigger version of "pig pen" with that dust bowl running around him? LOL)
anyway, looking at your design wall, Miss Harriet, I can see that those neutrals are light, but they sure aren't so glaring ...
you got your neutrals nicely mixed up for even more movement.
note to self: cut the strings in half, set in two piles and put the piles on top of each other and then sew down through the pile two by two ... gotchya!<wave>

That is turning out great, Harriet! Your definition of neutral really makes those blocks work. I wish I was confident enough to go ahead and do this. I keep collecting the pattern parts, but haven't started. Now that I see your string blocks, I realize what I would have done for neutral would be blah. Thanks for opening my eyes!

Looking good, everyone! I was a rebel as usual and opted not to use paper on the string blocks. It worked well and no paper to pick off.
Those 600 teeny hst's are going to be my downfall. So boring. I'm thinking lap quilt and "bonus" extra pieces at this point!

Miss Harriet! Miss Chele - - good show!
I have just finished stitching the HST together.
Today is Workday at the Post, so probably won't get back to the quilt until tomorrow morning.
I have a plan for the "dog ears" I will be trimming off, so be looking for pictures of MY idea of decorating the bunkhouse ... those tips figure big into it! <wave>
