I'm sooooooo jealous - I always went barefoot at home with socks in winter - until 1980 when we moved to this house. We have stinging scorpions that show up year round. Socks won't do, you have to have at least sandals for stomping.
I love it here but do miss going barefoot. I swear some of the shoes out there have been designed by men to torture us.

Barefoot, sock foot, sneakers , whatever happens to be on my feet. I spend a lot of time in my sewing room so I could be wearing about anything.............

Is there suppose to be another way to SEW??? I always thought you had to sew barefoot. LOL

And when I go to class I make sure they are shoes that slip on and slip off so that I can walk around the class w/ shoes but when I sit down to sew..I slip the shoe off.

Always barefoot, that's why I had to learn how to sew with my left foot when I broke my right foot and it was casted.

Shoes what are they? My shoes are for outside only - and away from home. I wear socks. At 2 my mother found me out in the snow without shoes. I use my feet to pick things up. I absolutely hate shoes. WHen I taught school, I would put slippers on. I even let the kids have slippers in the winter when they wore boots.

When I wear shoes, I usually wear ballet shoes. They feel the best on my feet, are flat and don't slip. I usually go through 3 pair a year, 2 white and 1 black or pink.

Do you crochet? I make slippers using 2 strans of yarn, they are warm and if you use the right yarn they are also soft .
If slippery you spray the bottoms with hair spary.
    Wouldn't wanna slip and fall.
You can make them using one stran of yarn, they would be cooler. I like bare footing but not cold feets.

I NEVER wear shoes in the house unless I am getting ready to leave or just got home and haven't had time to remove them yet. I seldom wear socks. Since my machine (a Brother SE350) has a push button start and stop feature I have never had to use the foot pedal and it has never even been plugged in. Is there any other way to sew?
