I must have missed that one. What is a "mug rug?" and where can I find the post? Sounds interesting. The suggestion was that one could be made and included with a cup and packet of cocoa. I thought that might make a nice teacher gift or whatever.

I took a look at those. They'd make nice summery purses. I buy the heavy "porch chair" type material when it's on sale at Joann's. Have quite a bit of it because I'm making chef's aprons for the guys for Christmas. But I think one of those purses would look great in that fabric too.

I just got the bow tucks pattern. It's cute... I thought about it... then when I was $4.05 away from free shipping on an order I decided to get the pattern.

Don't know when I'll ever make one but I've got the pattern!! (I can say that about a lot of quilts too)

They're growing on me and I'm too cheap to pay $9 for the pattern so I printed off a free pattern from allpeoplequilt.com instead. I searched a long time trying to find a free bow-tucks pattern but never did. Is there one somewhere?

They don't do a thing for me either. I just pass over them.

I love the bow tuck purses. I like purses, period - as my GD pointed out on a recent shopping trip. I especially liked the Steelers purse that was posted on the board. I have the pattern - want to find some Steelers material for a purse for my GD. That is, after I do the Steelers quilt that is a design, in my mind, for her Dad!! Oh, and I want to make a purse for me too!

Never heard of one or saw one. Where can I find a pattern or tutorial to take a look at it?

I was just going to ask if it would be good for a knitting bag! I'd want a zipper in the top, though.
