First Attempt at Hand Quilting
#250
It looks absolutely beautiful and I am envious of your first attempt!
If you're stabbing, you are not going to want to keep it up!
Hand quilting is best if you learn to rock the needle.
My suggestion is to start with thin batting and less ambitious quilting...like all straight lines and farther apart.
I have not been hand quilting that long but the tutorial I watched online really explained it well and improved my quilting a lot. Then it's just a matter of practice.
I'm sorry I cannot remember the woman who taught the course, but it was very short and there are probably lots of folks teaching out there for you to watch.
Personally, I love to hand quilt and take my quilt wherever I go. Right now I am missing having something to quilt so I need to finish another top!
