Took the Shades of Night to guild with me today. They asked me to present a program on needle felting. That was a bit unexpected, and quite flattering. I'm still working on the lesson plans for the class I'm teaching for adult 4-H volunteers. I'll try to redesign the handout as a tute for the board.

just make something that represents you. Here's the link to the thread where we are posting our blocks.

If you can't come up with something that represents your name or just you then you could do something with your cute kitty listening to music! It would be your block so just make something you like! :)

I guess mine would have to be "grandmothers Flower Garden". I was named Anna after my grandmother who didn't speak much English so she called me "Honcha" (Polish) which all my cousins couldn't pronounce so it ended up being "Honchey" which I have carried for 71 years.

Great Idea! It will really be a challenge for me.

EDIT: I like the idea of doing the block and then...
How about what we do with the block after it is finished

Lets talk!
This is a quick "sketch" of what my block would need be like - this is NOT me, it is only clip art. But it IS my grandkids.

I would of course remove the background, and instead of them sitting on the couch they would be sitting on my hand. And I would be looking down to them.

not really me, but is really my gkids

Are you old enough to remember "Pennies from Heaven?"
I am sure I'm old enough but only vaguely....teehee....however it's not the Penny part that is baffling me but the Lynne part.....any suggestions?
"Meaning & History:
Lynne, feminine of Lynn. From an English surname which was derived from Welsh llyn "lake." Before the start of the 20th century it was primarily used for boys, but it has since come to be more common for girls. In some cases it may be thought of as a short form of LINDA or names which end in lyn or line."

Oh gosh, here's another one:

"The meaning of "Lynne"
German name

In German, the name Lynne means- Variant of Linda: Snake. Lime tree; linden tree. Can also be a diminutive of any name ending in -linda. Other origins for the name Lynne include - German, English, English, French, Spanish, English. The name Lynne is most often used as a girl name or female name.

Alternate Origins - English, French, Spanish"

I think I'd go with "Lake" myself. Perhaps with a snake swimming in it. And an island with a lime tree in the middle....
How about Lady of the lake block!
