Good morning ladies,

Are you getting excited, another hour and I will be able to hit the Post Office and mail off your swap blocks. I know I am. There were so many WOW blocks this time. With lots of simple blocks to mix in also. So, this should make a great quilt. I have mine on the design wall while I finish my Giant Scrappy Swoon. But, I also need to make 2 more blocks that I want to add to Elson's quilt. I was able to locate some Air Force fabric. I made a nice easy DP9 block so it would really showcase the fabric. Now, I am trying to locate a small piece of National Guard fabric. (I'm not sure they even have any of that.) But, will start sashing those blocks next week. My sashing will be a white/gray marbled fabric and the cornerstones will be blue. And, the backing is a blue flannel. (They live in Indiana.) I haven't decided on the binding fabric yet. Maybe a R/W/B stripe if I can find it. Yep, I am excited about making this quilt for him. I think DD may be also. I haven't talked to her a lot about it. But, I did request a few of his old military patches to incorporate into it. She seemed excited about that. But, who knows if she will ever get them to me or not. (I hope so.)

Jane, Could you tell me what this block is called and where I might find a pattern for it. I chose this one for Elson's quilt. But, I would love to make one for my quilt.

And, the Air Force Block.

I would love if you ladies have the time to post any of your special blocks that you made for your quilts alone.

Alright ladies, All the packages were mailed off at 9 a.m. this morning. So, don't forget to keep in touch and let me know when they arrive so I can mark my list. I can also track them along the way. Happy stalking.

Judith --- love, love your Air Force block! You have such a nice eye for color and placement. The planes have so much motion in them in your block!

Soooooo sewwwwww....9 a.m. in Florida? I am guessing Thursday. Y es, I do have another one I am working on: 17 blocks and 4 of them done. I need to post my new digs, had to move everything as the apartment rented. Still have a bit of fabric on the bed.

Hi BattleAxe, Yes, it was 9 am East Coast time. I think yours was a two day mailer. So it is very possible you will see them Wednesday.

I hope you enjoy your new place BattleAxe. I think you said you were down sizing, right? That is not a bad thing. You will just have to get creative with your storage. What type quilt are you working on right now. Your blocks were so pretty. The Flying Geese/4 Patch and the Bear's Paw/Star blocks were particular favorites.

I have an extensive list of UFOs. One of those is a blue bear paw. Right now I'm on a Judith Haidu Fox quilts fall sampler. I love on point quilts and make usually only Queen size.

I'm going to take some pics of my new digs. I've got most of it in tubs and have a P-touch labeler so everything is marked properly.

Am anxious to get my new renter in there apartment. Only the APQS millenium is left in there and it has to go in the garage until I can remodel the area and make it better.
