Hey, these were expensive quilt shop fabrics from a couple of years ago. I recognize Chocolate Lolipop and some others that I have/had. I think just about everything by Kaffe Fasset and Brandon Mably are UGLY.

When I first read about this challenge...
I didn't hesitate as to which fabric I'd just HAVE to enter.

My Grandmother, God love her, had given me her collection of fabric about a year ago.

This was one of the "gems" that I found.
    She passed away in December.
I kind of regret not having asked her what she had in mind
when she purchased six (yes, SIX) yards of this beauty.

For scale, I've placed my 8" scissors on the fabric.

It reminds me of something that would have been a hit in the Miami Vice era..
just need a few pastel tank tops and white linen jackets.

But those VooD ladies, what's that phrase.. "e gads" :)
I have laughed until I am crying, both at the uglies and the commentary.
Definitely the Voodoo ladies, but they would scare the bird droppings right out of a person!

I like the cars but the rest of it is ugly. I wonder if they can be fussy cut.

Except Elvis. Those little green heads would ride the binding wave and make me seasick.

Elvis is such an exceptional fabric that it deserves to be the central focus of the entire work of art. Anyone that has an opportunity to work with Elvis should consider themself honored.

The print is horrible enough - but I can't get past the vastness of the pastels!
(For me, the peach puts it over the edge!)
I've taken a couple of yards have cut a four patch stack n' whack with the thinking that maybe it would improve... wrong.

However, it was my DMIL's idea.
I've threatened to give it to her!
