Annaquilts, I don't like orange but I really like the quilt you've shown us. I think I have an orange that will fit the bill for what you want. I love the other quilt you made with the Amish look.
Hmm orange does have that affect on many people but it is one of my favorite colors in a quilt. You can always add a lot of grey and just a little zinger of orange, that makes some of the prettiest blocks. I think this will be fun. It gets some of us out of our comfort zone, especially me. I will make at least one of the blocks myself and I think I will go for the lots of grey, some white and a small splash of orange.

Well, just say what you think, Terriamn! Lol. But honestly, I was thinking the same thing. I lose all patience at about the twenty-five or thirty piece size.

I'd actually love to see that block kassaundra, if you have a picture. It must be amazing.

I just couldn't imagine paper piecing that many tiny pieces and trying to remove the paper without ripping out stitches. Kassandra is much more persevering then me by a long shot

I think the most I did in a paper piece star was around 128 pieces ... that's only 16 pieces per section in an 8 section block....

Here is the weeping angle block the most complicated block I've done

Here are two more complicated blocks, not quite as much as the WA block

I did two of the TARDIS, this second one has 3 layers of fabric, 2 sheer blue to get the wood grain look over black or white for dark and lighter wood.
