    that is a really neat gift! I'm sure she & her friends will have a blast signing it, and she will have fun reflecting on it in years to come! I love the fabrics too!

    This was quite a different pattern than I have ever done. The pattern called for a 5 1/2" square cut in half. I am not sure what that makes the HST's. Then I sewed them together into pairs and put the yellow strip between two pairs. It was a different type of square with the 4 HST's on the outside and the yellow strip in the middle. It was easy though.[/quote]




    I cut the 5 1/2" squares in quarters not in half. Sorry if I confused anyone. This was a Fons and Porter pattern I got out of a magazine.

    What a lovely gift. I really like the pattern. It took me a second look to see the block, too. I love that! Please post a pic when it's done:-)
