I made two blocks. My quilt group is making blocks and then we are going to send them in together.
I am just finishing a quilt of valor. It was funny, I told my Father In Law I was making a quilt of valor and he started crying. He said he never heard of this program but it touched his heart. He told me he was really proud of me for doing this.
Made my day.

I'm mailing my two blocks as soon as my Pigma pen arrives to sign them. My son was in the Army National Guard when he was killed in an accident. He had finished boot camp two weeks earlier, and was preparing to start his Senior year at U of A. His plans were to get a little more training and go into the ARMY as an officer the following year...that was 5 years ago this past August. Thanks for letting me share that...I miss him SO MUCH!

I have three in an envelope ready to send. Father of my kids was a Vietnam vet, as well as grandfather, nephew, brother and uncle who were all in service. This is a cool program to show appreciation for all they do/did for us.
