Try this: sew some varying narrow strips of different colors together. Use the width of the fabric, and pick 5 of them.
Now iron the sewed strips and measure them from top to bottom. Now, cut them into squares The same dimension wide as tall. Next. take one pice of fabric and cut out a row of plain squares the exact same size.
Take five stripey squares and four plain squares and sew them into a nine patch.
Add a border or two or three, starting with the plain, and then using the other colors for the outer.
Guess What?
You will have the top of a wall hanging!
Let us know how it turns out!
